About Me

Hello ! 🙏 नमस्ते Everyone! I am Khadananda Sapkota ( K N sapkota ). I was born in 1958 in a normal family as a son of my mother Parvati and father Tulsi Ram at Jaimini 2 Damek Baglung western Nepal.

In that time, it was difficult to get an education due to lack of schools and finances. I started learning letters from my grandfather and studied Sanskrit and Vedas. I also got basic modern education from schools in the nearby village.

There was no secondary school nearby, so I went to Tribhuvan Secondary School, Shankar Pokhari Parbat district, and studied hard. My parents couldn’t afford to pay for my studies, so I worked as a laborer and carried heavy loads to earn my study expenses.  After completing my secondary education, I started working as a teacher at Bharatpuri Primary School near my house.

My parents were old and chronically ill, so taking care of them was my first responsibility. In addition to serving my parents and teaching, I also began pursuing higher education and continued to do so despite difficulties. After much effort and struggle with hardship and poverty, sometimes studying privately and sometimes regularly, I successfully completed my studies up to the master’s level and am now on my way to a doctorate.

On the other hand, I was appointed as the principal of the school. When I was given the responsibility of upgrading the school and providing quality education in a timely manner, in addition to teaching, I kept trying hard, for upgrading the school, as a result, I was able to upgrade the primary school to a secondary school.

I would like to briefly describe how I gained knowledge and experiences about yoga and natural health treatments! At the age of 34, I suffered very badly from digestive disorder, Rheumatism, and uric acid diseases. I went to the hospitals and took various allopathic medicines on the advice and prescription of doctors, but I could not get rid of the disease, instead the disease caused more pain. So I became very worried and thought about going to Ayurvedic and natural treatment methods instead of allopathic ones, and I went to a natural health education and treatment college named  “Arogya Mandir”, a naturopathic college in Gorakhpur, India.

When I joined such a famous and effective natural health treatment and educational institution, I gained confidence that I would be free from diseases. Because I got to observe the effectiveness of the treatment methods being done there using soil, air, water, sunlight, milk diet, fruit diet, fasting, massage, yoga, meditation, etc. My treatment began with the help of “Vitthal Das Modi” the head of the organization, and other health workers. Through the use of fasting, fruit juice diet, steam bath, mud application, sun bath, yoga, meditation, etc., my health improved day by day. After about 3 months of regular treatment, I became completely healthy and refreshed.

As my health improved, I had developed a self-confidence that a natural lifestyle and yoga practice can lead to a lifelong healthy and happy life. So I started learning about yoga and natural health methods and completed the Doctor of Naturopathy and Yoga course (NDYD) after 5 years of part-time practice and self-study, following the instructions of the teachers and health workers of Arogya Mandir. Since then, I have been living a simple and natural lifestyle and practicing yoga regularly. I have been teaching yoga and advising and suggesting natural health practices to many people.

I have dedicated my life to human service and social service because I naturally want to enjoy serving humanity. I have been providing financial and material support to the poor and suffering people as much as possible.   Similarly, I have also become a member of some social service organizations to be involved in the social service institutionally.
