Meaning of Philosophy of Life

To understand the philosophy of life, it is essential to first understand what philosophy is. Philosophy is the inner eye of a person. The perspective of seeing, understanding, and explaining life and the world is called philosophy. Philosophy is considered the main perspective of a person. It is also a science and method of studying the driving laws of the development of nature, life, society, and thought.
Philosophy is one of the forms of human consciousness. Philosophy is also the soul, principle, and general concept of a subject, theory, or organization. It also refers to the way of understanding the world and life.
Philosophy is called ‘Philosophy’ in English. The word ‘Philosophy’ (philosophy) is formed from the union of the Greek words ‘Philos’ and ‘Sophia’. The word philosophy is derived from the root ‘Drish’. The suffix ‘an’ is added to the root ‘Drish’ (Drish on) to form the word ‘Darshan’ (vision), which means to see. That is, the perspective of looking at any object, event, action, behavior, person, idea, or principle is called philosophy.
The literal meaning of ‘Darshan’ is the true knowledge of the soul and the means of knowledge. In ancient times, it was believed that any person could become wise only through knowledge and understanding. At that time, being able to live wisely was considered the highest ideal of human life.
The eastern philosopher Madhavacharya has said in various special works that ‘Darshan is the name of that knowledge, through which the subject matter of the visible, that is, the things that appear in form and are visible, and the tactile, that is, the things that can be known by touching, tasting, and smelling, whether they are very subtle or embedded in some other object or are very far away, is known.
In the previous or first chapter, I wrote about the thoughts of various philosophers and experts on the subject of what life? Similarly, I have also briefly discussed the topic of how to make a happy life peaceful, popular, and famous. Here I am presenting the qualities that must be possessed for a happy life.
Happy and smiling face

A person with a smiling face and a humble and calm nature is loved by everyone in the family, society, or everywhere. A person with a humble and happy mind is always free from mental illness. Humble and cheerful people always get the support of everyone and always live a happy and popular social life. Therefore, all of you should develop these qualities yourself from the beginning of your student life and make it a habit to show and practice them.
Parents and teachers should also be exemplary and make the students humble, calm, and happy. This is an essential part of quality education. Even if you graduate with the highest marks from a university, if you are not humble and cheerful, the degree will be worthless.
polite, humble, and truthful speech
Speech is the greatest power in human life. It is a weapon that can make or break your life. Its proper use makes life excellent, and its wrong use can destroy it. Ladies and Gentlemen! Decide for yourself whether you want to live a happy life as a beloved, respected, and ideal person in society by speaking politely and truthfully, or do you want to become an unpleasant person in society by speaking rudely and falsely?
polite and efficient social behavior
Polite and efficient social behavior. Human beings are social creatures. The relationship between humans and society is like fish and water. Only in an efficient and healthy social environment can people survive. So be self-disciplined and charismatic as well as follow the basic rules of society, and help make society healthy and peaceful. Student life is an early stage of learning good social behavior.
So, make good use of this golden opportunity and learn good social qualities and become the ideal citizen of the country. The first teacher is the mother, and the first school is the family. So teach your children good social qualities. Similarly, school teachers should also use good social qualities in the curriculum and use them in a practical way. Only by doing so will the quality of education increase.
Benevolence
अष्टदश पुराणेसु व्यासस्य वचन द्वयंः
परोपकारः पुण्याय पापाय परपिडनम्ः

Ashtadasha puranesu byassya bchana Dayan paropakara: punyaya papaya para pidanam: The author of the 18 Puranas under Vedic philosophy, Maharishi Vyasa, has said in the summary of the entire 18 Puranas that doing good to others is religion and causing pain to others is sin. According to this philosophy, we have been behaving traditionally. This is also the teaching of Lord Buddha in Buddhist philosophy. Charity is an act done for the good of others. This act can have a positive impact on society.
The importance of charity is that people should help each other. When we do something for others, we increase unity and goodwill in society. Charity helps poor and helpless people and improves their lives. It inspires people to be kind and sympathetic towards each other. Therefore, charity is not only financial support, but also mental and emotional support. It unites the society and helps everyone move forward together.
Self help
Help others, and you will have helped yourself. The general meaning of benevolence is to help spiritually. It is of two types – self-help and altruism. Although altruism is important in practical life, in spiritual life, self-help is most important. A person who is a seeker does not try much to remove his own suffering, but feels more sad when he sees the suffering of others. And therefore, without any expectation, he is always ready to do altruism with determination. That soul must have religion in itself; it is actually desire. It is the external view that creates obstacles in it.
Self-confidence and thoughts
Self-esteem is loving and respecting oneself. Every person needs self-esteem because it is beneficial for mental health. It helps a person think positively and face the challenges of life, and helps in the balanced development of a person. It makes family social relationships loving and supportive. This is an important quality that brings positive life changes and strengthens them.
Main reasons why self-esteem is necessary
Mental health and balance:
Self-esteem is extremely beneficial for a person’s mental health. It gives a person the power to think positively and face life’s difficulties courageously, which leads to their balanced development.
Positive outlook:
This quality helps a person to be optimistic and adopt a positive attitude towards life.
Increase in confidence:
Self-esteem increases confidence in a person, which makes them believe in their abilities and motivates them to achieve their goals.
Self-improvement:
When a person believes in his abilities and values, he tries to improve himself, which leads to his personal development.
Positive Change:
Self-esteem helps a person make positive and meaningful changes in life.
In short, self-esteem is an essential quality for a person’s mental and emotional well-being. Self-respect and self-respect are essential for a peaceful and happy life, so let’s all follow this.
Know yourself
Who are you? Do you know yourself? A person who cannot know himself cannot know the secrets of creation. You have a human being thousands of times more capable than you think you can do something. Do you believe it? This is real. When you are familiar with your true inner self, you will know your potential, and you will become different.
In fact, you are very great. There is a lot hidden within you; try to see and know it.
Who are we? We do not know; those who know themselves become great. We must thirst for knowledge to know ourselves; only then can we become familiar with ourselves. The great people of the world have become famous and great because they have succeeded in knowing the real human being within themselves. Many people like Abraham Lincoln, Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Marie Curie, Gautam Buddha, Pasanglhamu Sherpa, Wright brothers (inventors of the airplane) can be considered as examples.
A. Awaken the thirst for knowledge
In order to know the reality within us, we must awaken the thirst for knowledge. When you are tormented by the thirst for knowledge, you will wander here and there in search of knowledge. You will associate with various learned people, search for and collect knowledge-enhancing books, and study them. By doing this, the divine man within you will awaken, and you will become a wise person yourself.
B. Good books and good friends. Good books and good company awaken the soul and fill the mind with light. If you want to awaken the soul and know the power within you, then search, collect, and study good books. Similarly, keep the company of wise, virtuous, and great people and behave righteously. If you befriend a bee, the bee will take you to a beautiful garden of flowers. If you befriend a fly, the fly will take you to hell (a dirty and harmful place). You decide the path yourself: Will you go to heaven or hell?
C. The human brain is a Kalpa tree.
Our brain is a divine gift. It is the best among all the creatures in the world. It is like a Kalpa tree ( wish -fulfilling tree) If we provide it with good fertilizer, water conservation, and a favorable environment, it will bear fruit according to our wishes, and there will be happiness, peace, and progress in life. If we provide a suitable climate and good fertilizer, how much can a single grain or fruit seed produce? Our brain is also like that.
Think deeply! Do you want to make your brain like a Kalpa tree, capable of bearing the fruits you want? If you want, do this. Stay with good books, teachers, wise and great people, and follow the qualities of good character, self-discipline, kindness, love, compassion, patience, forgiveness, sacrifice, charity, etc., which make our brain pure and strong.
D. Get inspired.
An inspirational book, a good friend, and a special event can bring about a complete change in a person’s life. Inspiration awakens the power sleeping within a person’s mind. When the inner power awakens, the person rises on their own. If there is no one to inspire you, don’t worry, you are the greatest power and your own support. Your own power is the greatest. You yourself are a great person. Expecting inspiration or help is only cowardice and foolishness.
A courageous and enterprising person never expects help from others. Your true friend is your own ability and nature, which is the true motivator. Get up and keep moving forward. If you do not have the ability, it is difficult to maintain financial income and social prestige. Even if you get a lot of money, you cannot use it properly. Only a capable and intelligent person can earn money and respect and live a happy and peaceful life. Every person has hidden power and greatness. Those who can use the power, destiny, and greatness within themselves become happy and great.
E. Keep moving towards your goal. If you want complete success in your life, do not get involved in unnecessary topics, and do not be afraid of difficulties and obstacles. Study appropriate books for inspiration and make friends with good and supportive people. Keep focusing on your desires and goals. Try to awaken your inner strength by recognizing it. Concentrate your mind and think seriously, and find out which corner is hidden inside you, and capture it. Know what qualities and abilities you have. You will be successful whatever you want to become, whether it is an actor, a leader, a teacher, a judge, a writer, etc.
Conclusion
In the book titled Life Philosophy and Real Education, I have written based on my experience of working as a secondary school principal for 42 years, and various training and research. If you can study this and use it in practical life, your life will certainly be happy. So I urge everyone to study it practically and make their life meaningful.
