A Message of Peace, Consciousness, and Humanity from Mata Tirtha

Today, 10 May 2026, on the auspicious occasion of World Mother’s Day, we reached Mata Tirtha, a holy pilgrimage site in Kathmandu, and participated in apeace yoga and meditation program with friends. Mother is not just a person who gives birth; she is the first teacher of love, compassion, sacrifice, tolerance, and life.

Therefore, participating in positive and spiritual practices like yoga and meditation on the day of honoring mothers was a truly meaningful experience. I paid my heartfelt tribute to the memory of my late mother and wished all mothers around the world a long life of health and happiness. And all my friends who participated with me did the same.

Peace and spiritual balance

In today’s busy, stressful, and competitive era, people are making material progress, but mental peace, spiritual balance, and family harmony seem to be gradually weakening. In such circumstances, yoga and meditation have become invaluable practices to make human life balanced, healthy, disciplined, and positive again.

Practicing yoga on an emotional and sacred occasion like World Mother’s Day is also an attempt to bring the love, patience, and compassion of a mother into one’s own life. Mata Tirtha has special importance in the religious, cultural, and spiritual history of Nepal.

The tradition of coming here to remember the mother, pay homage, and experience spiritual peace has been going on since ancient times. Mata Tirtha holy place not only carries religious significance, it also teaches humans a deep lesson in maternal love, respect, and gratitude. Today, while practicing yoga and meditation in this holy land, I felt that not only the body but also the mind and soul gained new energy.

Yoga, the science of peace

Yoga is a science that transforms human life as a whole. Yoga makes the body healthy, the mind calm, and the soul awakened. The importance of yoga is increasing day by day all over the world. Scientific research has also proven that regular yoga and meditation reduce stress, increase immunity, maintain mental balance, and develop positive thinking. This is why yoga is accepted as an important basis for a healthy lifestyle in many countries of the world today.

Peace of the inner mind

Meditation connects a person with his inner world. No matter how successful a person is in the external world, if the mind is restless, life feels incomplete. Meditation makes the mind stable, controlled, and aware. It reduces anger, jealousy, stress, fear, and negative thinking and develops love, tolerance, and confidence. Today, the meditation program conducted collectively at Mata Tirtha was experienced as instilling peace, intimacy, and positive energy in all the participants.

Global Peace Provider GSPSS

Our sacred organization, Global Society for Peace and Spiritual Science (GSPSS), is running a great campaign to make “one Yoga Guru in Every Home”. This campaign is not just a program to teach ryoga, but a social and spiritual movement to make society healthy, civilized, disciplined, and peaceful. When at least one yoga guru is ready in every home, then health awareness, positive thinking, morality, and spiritual awakening automatically start increasing in that family.

Today’s children are becoming more focused on mobile phones, the internet, and material attractions. Stress, unbalanced lifestyle, depression, and mental pressure are increasing in the younger generation. The elderly are going through loneliness and emotional pain. In such a situation, yoga and meditation can play a big role in reuniting the family, increasing love and harmony, and developing healthy habits.

If a yoga guru is prepared in every home, then morning yoga practice, meditation, positive thinking, and health awareness will start spreading within the home. This can make a long-term contribution to reducing hospital overcrowding, reducing mental illness, and maintaining peace and discipline in society. Therefore, this campaign of GSPSS is truly a timely, humanitarian, and visionary campaign.

Peace-giving mother

World Mother’s Day not only allows us to remember mothers, but it also teaches us the values of life. Mother is the embodiment of sacrifice. She hides her sorrows for the happiness of her children and struggles throughout her life. Yoga also teaches sacrifice, discipline, restraint, and love. In this sense, both mother and yoga are great guides of human life.

Today, while participating in the yoga and meditation program at Mata Tirtha, I felt close to nature. The yoga practice done amidst the open sky, peaceful environment, holy land, and positive energy made the mind very happy. Group yoga has its own power. When many people sit in meditation and yoga with the same positive intention, there is wonderful mental and spiritual energy generated.

Violence Controller Yoga

In today’s world, war, violence, pollution, stress, selfishness, and intolerance are increasing. Man has made a lot of external development, but has not been able to develop inner consciousness. This is why unrest and imbalance have increased in society. Yoga and meditation teach people humanity, tolerance, compassion, peace, and self-discipline.

If yoga culture can be developed in schools, colleges, offices, and families, then a healthy and civilized society can be built in the future. Nepal is a fertile land of yoga, meditation, and spirituality. Gautam Buddha gave the message of peace and compassion to the world from this land. The sages gave the knowledge to improve human life by practicing yoga and meditation. Today, we need to protect our spiritual values along with our modern lifestyle.

It is very important to conduct public awareness programs on yoga and meditation on special festivals, celebrations, and memorable days. Such programs do not just entertain people, but inspire them towards spiritual awakening. When a person is aware of his body, mind, and soul, he begins to become a responsible citizen. Yoga and meditation are the basis for building a healthy person, a healthy family, and a healthy society.

The yoga and meditation program held at Mata Tirtha on the auspicious day of World Mother’s Day has given all of us a new perspective on life. It has made us realize, more deeply, the importance of respecting mothers, spiritual peace, social harmony, and a positive lifestyle.

Conclusion

Finally, expressing my heartfelt respect to all mothers, I wish for world peace, human welfare, and spiritual awakening. I also wish the success of the Global Society for Peace and Spiritual Science (GSPSS)’s “1 Yoga Guru in Every Home” campaign. Let us make yoga and meditation an integral part of our daily lives and build a healthy body, a peaceful mind, and a bright future. This is the message of this holy day.
