Research center for spiritual science

Confluence of Spirituality, Education, Yoga, and Vedic Knowledge and Science

Nepal is a country rich in religious, cultural, and natural heritage. Mountains, hills, rivers, temples, pilgrimage sites, and the auspicious places of sages have made Nepal known all over the world. Among these holy places.

Most famous spiritual pilgrimage

Devghat Dham is the most famous and historical pilgrimage site. Located at the confluence of the Kaligandaki and Trishuli rivers, this holy place is known as the center of religious faith, Vedic culture, yoga, meditation, and knowledge and science. Getting the opportunity to visit and visit Devghat Dham on the auspicious occasion of Apara Ekadashi, 30 Baisakh 2083, became an unforgettable experience of life.

Location of Deva Ghat Dharma

Devghat Dham is located on the border of Tanahun and Chitwan districts of Nepal. Here, the confluence of two holy rivers, the Kaligandaki and the Trishuli, gives rise to the Narayani River. In Hinduism, the confluence of rivers is considered very sacred. According to religious belief, bathing, meditating, worshipping, and offering tarpan here destroys sins and attains virtue. Thousands of devotees come here, especially during Ekadashi, Maghe Sankranti, eclipses, and other festivals.

 Spiritual faith of Ekadashi

Apara Ekadashi is considered a very important Ekadashi in Hinduism. On this day, there is a tradition of fasting, charity, chanting, penance, offering offerings, and worshiping Lord Vishnu. According to religious beliefs, it is believed that fasting and worshiping Apara Ekadashi will free you from sins and bring good fortune to your ancestors. It was a special spiritual experience to reach Devghat Dham on this auspicious day and get the opportunity to bathe, do yoga, meditate, and offer offerings to your ancestors.

Natural beauty of the Devghat area

As soon as I reached Devghat, the natural beauty there delighted my mind. The peaceful environment, the melodious sound of the river, and the sight of the lush forests and temples gave me a wonderful sense of peace. When I reached the confluence of the Kaligandaki and Trishuli rivers, I felt a deep connection between nature and spirituality. Just as two rivers come from different directions and merge into one flow, I felt that human life is also a confluence of diverse experiences, cultures, and thoughts.

Special knowledge center

Devghat is not only a religious place, but also a center of Vedic knowledge, science, and Sanskrit education. The Gurukul Sanskrit schools operating here are preserving Vedic education, the Sanskrit language, religious scriptures, yoga, and moral education. During the visit,

I was very happy to hear the news that the students studying there have passed the current SEE examination 100 percent. This proves that students who study in a disciplined, cultured, yoga, meditation, and spiritual environment can succeed not only in religious knowledge but also in modern education.

Vedic knowledge is a life science

In today’s modern era, many people consider Sanskrit and Vedic education as old-fashioned. But in fact, Vedic knowledge includes deep principles related to life sciences, health, yoga, meditation, astronomy, Ayurveda, environmental protection, and human consciousness.

Many of the facts that modern science is exploring today were mentioned in Vedic texts thousands of years ago. Therefore, it is necessary to study in coordination between modern science and ancient Vedic knowledge today. As well as spiritual science.

I experienced that the Vedic Knowledge-Science Research Center in Devghat is playing an important role in the conservation and research of these subjects. After reaching there, I can understand why the ancient sages made river banks, forests, and quiet places their places of penance. The pure environment, natural energy, and mental peace have a special effect on meditation and study.

During the visit, I got the opportunity to do yoga and meditation for some time at the confluence of the Kaligandaki and Trishuli rivers. Yoga is not just a physical exercise, but a great method to establish balance between the body, mind, and soul. Meditation provides mental peace, positive thinking and spiritual happiness. While meditating on the banks of the river,

I felt a deep sense of joy as many worries, stress, and unrest of the mind disappeared. Meditation in the lap of nature has the power to connect people with their true existence.

Yoga and meditation on the riverbank

In today’s busy and stressful life, the importance of yoga and meditation has increased. Even though people are moving forward in material progress, it seems that mental peace is disappearing. The main reason for the increase in stress, depression, dissatisfaction, violence, and unrest is being away from inner consciousness. In such a situation, peaceful and spiritual places like Devghat can provide people with new energy, inspiration, and positive thinking.

Offering Pitru Tarpan on the day of Apara Ekadashi also has special religious significance. In Hindu culture, respecting and remembering the Pitru is considered a very sacred duty. When offering Tarpan while remembering one’s ancestors, a sense of gratitude and reverence is awakened in the mind. Human life is not only created by the contribution of the current generation, but also by the sacrifice, rituals, and blessings of our ancestors. Therefore, respecting the Pitru means respecting one’s culture.

Devghat Dham is home to various ashrams, temples, and saints. Many saints and saints met there had expressed important ideas about yoga, meditation, Vedas, Upanishads, and the philosophy of life. Their lifestyle seemed simple, peaceful, and disciplined. They got inspiration from there that mental peace and spiritual happiness are the real wealth of life, rather than material comforts.

Today’s education system is providing technical and professional knowledge, but it seems that the education of ethics, culture, spirituality, and life values is decreasing. Therefore, a balance between modern education and Vedic culture is necessary. Students should also acquire knowledge of yoga, meditation, moral education, and culture along with science, technology, and modern knowledge. This not only develops personality but also helps in establishing peace, harmony, and morality in society.

The visit to Devghat provided a new perspective on life. It was an opportunity to understand the real importance of nature, religion, education, yoga, meditation, and culture. It was felt that pilgrimage is not only a religious ritual, but also a journey of self-purification, knowledge acquisition, and mental peace. A person should visit such holy places at least once in their life, which provide positive energy to the mind, brain, and soul.

Preservation of such religious and cultural sites in Nepal is the need of the day. Pilgrimage sites like Devghat are not only for religious tourism, but also for preserving national culture, education, and spiritual consciousness. The government, society, and the youth should understand the importance of such heritage and contribute to its preservation and promotion.

Finally, the pilgrimage to Devghat Dham, held on 30 Baisakh 2083 Apara Ekadashi, was a very inspiring, peaceful, and enlightening experience. The confluence of the Kaligandaki and Trishuli rivers, the joy of yoga and meditation, Pitru Tarpan, the academic success of Gurukul Sanskrit School, and the philosophy of the Vedic Knowledge-Science Research Center provided new energy and a positive outlook on life.

It was felt that this pilgrimage gave the message that advancing humanity, peace, and spiritual consciousness by coordinating modern and mythological knowledge is the need of the day.

Conclusion

Ultimately, Devghat Dham is not just a religious pilgrimage site but a sacred land that is being established as an important center of Vedic and modern knowledge and science. The spiritual environment here, yoga, meditation, Sanskrit education, Gurukul tradition, and research-oriented consciousness provide peace, positivity, and knowledge to human life.

Finding a path for human welfare by coordinating ancient Vedic knowledge and modern science is the need of the day. Therefore, everyone should be able to benefit from Devghat Dham by taking spiritual, educational, and scientific inspiration to make life civilized, cultured, peaceful, and prosperous.
