Just moving to Rani Mal

I am a traveling lover, and while experiencing various travels in the country and abroad, I got the opportunity to visit Rani Mahal on 25 July 2025. I reached Gharwach Bus Park with my friends on the morning of 25 July. There, 5 close friends gathered, and the journey started. We reached Palpa via Mungling, Damauli, Pokhara, and Syanja from Kathmandu and settled down.
Rani Mahal Monument of Love
Rani Mahal, located on the banks of Kaligandaki near Tansen in Palpa, is the Taj Mahal of Nepal, a destination full of historical love-architecture and natural beauty. Khadga Shamsher wrote his name on the walls of this palace, built in 1954, in memory of his queen, Tejkumari. The experience of seeing the river view and enjoying the historical atmosphere is memorable. To reach it, you have to cross about 13 km of unpaved road from Tansen Palpa

The Kaligandaki River, on the banks of the palace and the surrounding greenery, makes the journey very peaceful and natural. Visit to Tansen: Before going to Rani Mahal, you can also enjoy the Newari culture of Tansen Bazaar, Karua Palpali Karua. and the picturesque mountain ranges visible from Srinagar Danda.

Ruru Kshetra and Ridi Bazaar, located near the famous Rani Mahal of Palpa, are very important places from a religious, cultural, and natural point of view. Here we can see a beautiful confluence of religious faith, historical importance, and natural beauty. Nepal is a country where natural beauty and religious faith meet. Ruru Kshetra, located in this holy land, is considered a very sacred pilgrimage site for Hindus.
This place is located on the border of Palpa and Gulmi districts of Nepal, on the banks of the Kaligandaki River. Ruru Kshetra is also called “Rishikesh Tirtha”, where the Rishikesh form of Lord Vishnu is worshipped. Religious importance Ruru Kshetra is known as a pilgrimage site of importance, similar to Char Dham. According to religious belief, bathing and worshipping here is believed to destroy sins and achieve salvation. Especially in the month of Magh, especially on the day of Maghe Sankranti, thousands of devotees come here to bathe.
Rishikesh Temple, located in Ruru Kshetra, is an ancient religious heritage. Daily worship, aarti, and bhajan-kirtan are performed in this temple. The fair, which takes place throughout the month of Magh, is considered very important from a religious and cultural perspective.
Ridi Bazaar, connected to the Ruru region, is a place of historical, cultural, and commercial importance. This market is located on the border of Palpa and Gulmi districts and is known as a major resting and shopping center for religious travelers.

A large amount of commercial activity takes place here during the Maghe Sankranti fair. Religious items, local handicrafts, agricultural products, and daily necessities are bought and sold. This has played an important role in improving the economic condition of the residents.

Traditional Newari-style houses, trade in religious items, worship items, and local products, great economic activity during the Maghe Sankranti fair, the bridge over the Kaligandaki River, and the beautiful scenery around it.
Historical importance. Ridi Bazaar has been considered an important trading post in western Nepal since ancient times. It is also believed to have historical connections with the Indo-Tibet trade route. Traditionally, people have gathered in the hilly areas of Nepal to sell various goods.

We also visited the Ramdi Bridge, built during the reign of King Mahendra on the Kaligandaki, near Reedi and Rani Mahal. Pokhara-Sunauli Highway Siddhartha Highway is an important road connecting the hilly areas of Nepal with the Terai and the border with India. The Palpa section of this highway was built during the reign of King Mahendra.
It connects Pokhara with Sunauli. This road, built on a hilly geographical structure, has contributed greatly to trade, transport, and tourism. This road has played an important role in connecting western Nepal with the national main network. Ramdi Bridge is an important bridge built over the Kaligandaki River in Palpa district.
This bridge was also built during the reign of King Mahendra. It easily connected Palpa with Syangja and other western districts. After the construction of the bridge, transportation became easier and economic activity increased.

Palpa is a historical district in western Nepal, known for the powerful Sena kingdom in ancient times. Its headquarters is Tansen, which is famous for its hilly beauty and cultural heritage.

Mukunda Sen established the Sena dynasty in Palpa in the 16th century.
Palpa was a powerful independent kingdom at that time. Later, Prithvi Narayan Shah annexed Palpa to Nepal around 1828 B.S. during his campaign to unify Nepal.

Srinagar Danda is a place where you can enjoy beautiful views of the Himalayas and the Terai from Tansen.
